About GuarantCo

Financing infrastructure and developing capital markets

GuarantCo was established in 2005 to help close the infrastructure funding gap and alleviate poverty in lower income countries across Africa and Asia. Our local currency credit solutions transform capital markets by mobilising private sector capital to finance essential infrastructure projects.

We offer long-term guarantees that remove risk obstacles for investors and lenders, both international and domestic.

GuarantCo is part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), an innovative infrastructure developer and impact investor that was established in 2002. PIDG provides support throughout the project life cycle and across the capital structure to get infrastructure finance moving and multiplying.

One group with multiple solutions, PIDG de-risks projects financially through technical assistance, project development, debt and credit offerings.
